Summary

This article describes the options on the EngageIP v8 account overview page, what the sections mean and how they relate to the customer account.

When you look up a specific account the initial screen that you are presented with is the main Overview page.

Along the top of all screens within the application are tabs. These are the main navigation points for an account and are specific to the account that you are currently viewing. For example if you want to view Bill Smith's account then clicking on any of these tabs would return their results for Bill's account.

The Left Side Menu

Current Account provides a quick view of the current account's name, account ID, status, balance, bill day, and bill group. Clicking on the name will redirect you to the account's overview screen as will clicking on the account ID. The difference between the two is that one is the value given to the account during its creation (name) and the other is the internal number for the account (account ID).

  • Name - the name of the account you are currently on

  • AccountID - the database ID of the account, this value is searchable using the search box below. This is useful when reports show only the account ID

  • Status - the current status of the account

  • Balance - the balance as of now. (Includes sum of all transactions, payments, credits where date is equal to or less than today)

  • Full Balance - the total balance including all future dated transactions

  • Balance Due - the sum total of balances on closed invoices where due date is equal to or less than today
Note: to view summaries on an account quickly, you can go to the "Statement of Account" report under the Reports tab

  • Bill Day - the day on which the packages bill recurring. e.g. if the customer signs up on the 15th, they will recur on the 15th of each month
Note: the invoicer on an account determines the accounts bill day. If an account is not its own invoicer the Bill Day value will be uneditable (read-only)

  • Bill Group - the bill group assigned to the user account, a bill group is 1 or more accounts that have the same billing configuration. For more information, see, Bill Run - How to Setup and Run Billing

  • Contact - if a contact exists EngageIP will attempt to show basic information about that contact

  • Search - allows you to perform a search on account names, contacts, etc. If an exact match is found you will be taken to the appropriate screen. If more than one match is found then the advanced search screen will be displayed outlining all matching points from which you can navigate to the appropriate screen

  • Create New - a series of quick links allowing you to create new accounts, enter batch payments or add tickets to the system

  • Recent Accounts - displays a list of resent accounts that you have navigated to during your session. Each account name is hyperlinked to the accounts overview screen to allow for quick access between accounts

  • Account Statistics - displays quick summary information about the system including how many active accounts are currently in the system under the owner as well as how many new accounts were added to the system within the last 24 hours

The Top Right Menu

  • Configuration - this option will be displayed only if you are logged in as the root owner (admin). This page contains system configuration settings. See the EngageIP Configuration Page Overview article for more information

  • Override - clicking this option will spawn a small login window requesting a username and password. Once credentials are entered in this window the system will inherit the role permissions of the new login. This is useful in a environment where an agent may not have permission to perform a specific action (e.g. apply a discount to an account). The agent's supervisor who has this permission can then override the current session and take the necessary action. Once complete, the supervisor can log out and the system and the session will continue from the previous login prior to the override

  • Change My Password - allows you to change the password you use to log into the EngageIP AdminPortal

  • Logout - clicking this option will log you out of the current session

  • No labels
