The General Config section allows you to customize the portal name, select an included theme (or another free downloaded theme), define how users login to ECP and more. As As shown above you can find General Configuration under Portal Settings (click Site Admin ->Portal / Portal Settings)

Granting Portal Access to Account Contacts

In the EngageIP AdminPortal load the Setup tab page
Under the Accounts and Roles heading click on Contact Types
Click on the name of an existing contact type that you wish to be able to grant portal access to (for example 'Administrative Contact')
Under the Contact Point Types heading click the Add button
Under Name enter Portal Login and set the Data Type as Text
If you wish the Contact Point to be required and/or the field to appear when adding a new account you may check those options
Click Save/New
Under Name enter Portal Password and set the Data Type as Password
Set the 'Required' and 'Show To Add Account' settings to be in sync with the 'Portal Login' Contact Point Type that you just added
Click Save
Repeat the Process of setting up the Portal Login and Portal Password Contact Point Types for any other Contact Types that you wish to allow ECP portal access to

EngageIP 8.5.21.0 and above support enforcement of Unique data for Contact Point Types. To Configure EngageIP to enforce unique ECP Portal Logins see the Managing Contacts on Accounts article.

Note: if you are requiring that the Portal Login and the Portal Password Contact Point Types must be filled in as Contact Types are added to an account, you only need to ensure Step #1 has been completed below (for any new contacts you add to EngageIP accounts going forward). |
In ECP under Site Admin -> / General Config select Yes for Enable 'PortalContact' Logins
In the EngageIP AdminPortal load the account that contains the contacts that you wish to grant ECP access to
Load the Contacts tab page and click on the link in the Contact Type column in relation to the contact you wish to setup ECP credentials for
On the edit Contact page that loads click the Add button under the Contact Points heading
In the pop-up list click Portal Login
Enter a login (ECP username) and click Save
Repeat the process to add the Portal Password
Once complete the Contact on the account will be able to login to the ECP with the login and password defined
