Configuring Vacation Statuses for Accounts and Packages
Summary
Vacation Status represents a scheduled period during which Account or User-Package activity is suspended. Vacation status can be used for Users who are relocating or for Seasonal Businesses.
Configuration Steps
Creating the Vacation Account Status Type
Before an Account can be set to Vacation Status, the Vacation Status must be created. Follow the steps below to create the 'Vacation' Account Status Type.
Click Setup
Under the Accounts and Roles section select Account Status Types
Click the Add button
Enter a descriptive name for the User Status Type in the Name field, in this case Vacation
From the Status pick list select the appropriate option:
Active – the default setting – Accounts will be provisioned and billed when in this state
Canceled – will cancel the account and all packages associated with it. Accounts are not provisioned or billed when in this state
Suspended – will place the account in a suspended state. Packages and configuration options associated with the account will not be affected but rather suspended until manually changed. This is ideal in a VoIP implementation where an account is past due and you want to suspend service until the balance is updated. This will prevent the system from removing the account configuration from your Softswitch. Furthermore, accounts will still be provisioned but not billed when in this state
Image URL (optional): define the path to an image that will appear on Overview page of the User's account when this status set
Show in Account Status: check this option if you want to list accounts that are in vacation status under the Account Statistics section of the left sidebar
Click Save to save the account status type
