Summary

This article describes the use of Ticket Transactions in EngageIP. Ticket transactions allows you to create a ticket and assign a charge to it for the services rendered within the ticket. The charge will only be applied when the ticket is closed.

Configuration

  1. Load the Setup tab

  2. Click on Services

  3. Click on and edit the existing Services enabling the Show On Ticket Transaction setting

Example

  1. Create a ticket and save it

  2. Open the newly created ticket

  3. Under Transactions section click Add

  4. Enter the values for the transaction

    • Amount - one time amount to be charged when ticket is closed / resolved

    • Date  - today's date or future or past as needed - charge will physically be added only when the ticket is closed

    • Service - the service that this charge is related to. A new service may be needed here likely marked as a one time service that will apply appropriate taxes

    • Detail - Detail that is to show on the transactions page and on the invoice if you show the transaction detail on your invoice template.

  5. Click Save

  6. The transaction will show at the bottom of the detail of the ticket (above the comments section) with no statement details ID until the ticket is closed

  7. When the ticket is closed, the transaction will be applied and will show on the latest invoice and on the transactions tab.

Note: If the transaction has been posted to an invoice, you cannot edit the ticket transaction detail itself. To edit it, you would need to edit the transaction detail on the transactions page instead. This will then only be reflected on the invoice if the invoice is rendered again
