LogiSense Billing is capable of auto-detecting source file fields and datatypes. If the first row of the import file contains field labels then LogiSense Billing will automatically detect and name the field.
Mapping
As part of the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process it is necessary to transform and map the data from the exporting system to the importing system. The system provides visual tools to assist in this process.
Transforms
Transforms allow you to format data so that it can be imported into the system. Transforms can be be as simple as trimming whitespace to more complex cases combining multiple fields and applying a formula before importing into LogiSense Billing.
Validations
Validations ensure the integrity of import data before beginning the import process. Any field values that fail validation will not be imported and depending on your envelope definition the entire process can be rolled back.
Debugging
LogiSense's data import process includes visual debugging tools to assist you. Using a sample import file it is possible to validate the data from the file and that the mapped system object is complete.
