Summary
This article covers how to rerate usage (calls, sms, data, etc.). Rerating allows new rates, rate plans or similar changes to take effect for a previous period where records were rated but not billed (i.e. rerating only applies to unbilled UDRs).
Rerating Process
Under the admin owner account click on Rating
Click on the name of the UDR Feed that relates to the usage you wish to rerate
To the right of the UDRS heading click on View
On the View Parameters form that loads enter the users you wish to rerate, the corresponding time period and any other filters needed
Click Update on the View Parameters form when finished
Records should be listed in the UDRS section after updating the form, click the Rerate button and "OK" when prompted for confirmation
Note: The system will rerate all unbilled usage for the parent user of this userEnsure the calls to be rated have had the associated invoices voided otherwise they will NOT rerate
Determining if Rerating is Occurring
Under the admin owner account click on Reports
Under the Owner Reports heading click on Event Log
You will see Rerating events (Note: logging may be delayed if the rating engine is performing other rating jobs)
Troubleshooting
No 'Rerating' Events in the Event Log
If Processing Exceptions are not present in the log ensure the BossRatingService is running:
Click on Configuration on the tools links in the upper right of the AdminPortal interface
Under the System Check heading check to see if the BossRatingService is active
If it is not, enable the service in Windows (it should appear as 'EngageIP Rating Service' or 'EngageIPRatingService' in Services)
Attempt to process UDR Exceptions again and check the Event Log
If the EngageIP Rating Service is running, check if the Rating job is pending (it may be delayed until other jobs are completed). Job information over the past 24 hours is provided on the left hand sidebar
Note: If there are no Jobs are in the list, ensure that the BossJobService is running under Configuration (if not enable the EngageIPJobService in Windows Services).
