Summary
This article describes the options available to transform a sub-account into a parent account, make a parent account a sub-account of another existing parent account or transfer an account to another owner.

This option allows you to convert a child account to a parent account. An example of where this option may be used is when a child account requests to have his/her own invoice instead of their transactions being sent to their parent account. Once the child account is changed to a parent account they will be billed, receive invoices and also have the option to have child accounts under them.

Note: When a child account is moved to a parent account, any transactions that were associated or applied on the child account will be transferred to the new invoicer. |
Process:
Load the Tools page
Select the Make Parent option
Note: If you do not see this link, check that your Role permissions are configuredThe child's name will appear on the screen. If this is the correct child account click the Save button
A Success message should appear indicating that the sub account has been converted to a parent account

Moving a Child Account to a new Parent Account

Accounts can be moved from one unbranded owner to another unbranded owner as long as both unbranded owners reside directly under the same branded owner
An account under an unbranded owner cannot be moved up to a branded owner or higher level owner
Accounts from a branded or top level owner can only be moved down one level to an unbranded owner
